2016年11月に発足した「北東アジアの平和と安全保障に関するパネル(PSNA)」の第3回会合は、2018年5月31日(木)~6月1日(金)にモスクワ(ロシア)で、⾧崎大学核兵器廃絶研究センター(RECNA)主催、パグウォッシュ会議、ロシア科学アカデミー幹部会下パグウォッシュ会議、モスクワ国立国際関係大学(MGIMO大学)、世界経済国際関係プリマコフ国立研究所(IMEMORAS)の協力の下に開催されました。会議には、パネルメンバー11名(米国、ロシア、中国、韓国、日本、モンゴル、オーストラリア)にくわえ、地元ロシアの専門家多数と北朝鮮大使館からの参加者2名、日本大使館から2名を合わせて、総勢57名の参加を得ることができました。

【活動報告会】ツナグ ~ Be the Bridge ~

2018年春、長崎県、長崎市、長崎大学の認定する「ナガサキ・ユース代表団」の第6期生8名が、スイス・ジュネーブで開催された「2020年核不拡散条約 (NPT) 再検討会議‐第2回準備委員会」に参加しました。核を巡る国際状況が大きく動く中、各国政府やNGOの関係者、若者らとの意見交換を通じて、8人は何を想い、考え、伝えたのでしょうか。ぜひその「生」の声をお聞きください!

5月4日(金)、ブガイスキ議長(ポーランド)が冷静に「閉会」の宣言をすると、議場でも静かな拍手がおきて、2週間にわたる2020年核不拡散条約(NPT)再検討会議第2回準備委員会が終了した。はたして、2020年のNPT再検討会議に向けて、大きな成果はあったのか。残された課題は何か。日本は「橋渡しの役割」を果たすことができたのか。サイドイベント等の情報を含めて総括した。>>続きを読む

2020年再検討会議第2回準備委員会は、いよいよ4日に最終日を迎えた。本会議ではすべての議論を終え、議長による会議の概要報告が採択にかけられた。すでにブログで報じているように、本会議での議論は低調で、特に大きな成果が見られないが(総括は別途ブログ最終回で紹介)、会期を通じて開催されている「サイドイベント」(政府やNGOが主催して特定のテーマで発表や意見交換を行う)は、なかなか盛況である。筆者は、会議後半だけの参加であったが、注目されるサイドイベントについて紹介したい。>>続きを読む
