This conference was sponsored by RECNA, and co-organized by RECNA in cooperation with Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, Russian Pugwash Committee under the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Science (RAS), Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University), and Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO RAS).

In addition to 11 Panel Members (US, Russia, China, Korea, Japan, Mongolia and Australia), many local participants from Russia, two from the North Korean embassy and two from the Japanese embassy, a total of 57 people, participated in this conference.
